Valley Jewish Community Center (VJCC) announced today that Jerry Wayne, Executive Director of VJCC, has been asked to speak at a Congressional Briefing on the National Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) on September 21st in Washington, D.C. This briefing is sponsored by Solera Health, a National DPP integrator that connects patients, payers, and physicians with a new class of non-clinical healthcare providers who are preventing and managing chronic disease. The Senior Table Tennis Therapy program, sponsored by the Sport and Art Education Foundation and Valley Jewish Community Center, has been meeting for over six months. Led by a professional coach, the group meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at the Center.
We have added more people to our group and invite you to join us. The focus of the program is to help seniors with memory loss, dementia and/or Alzheimer's symptoms. We are experiencing positive results and having a wonderful time participating and socializing.
